Winter Visitor

Bickerton in February

A visit to Bickerton Hill hide provided a great surprise, Brambling.  They were with a flock of Chaffinch and were attracted, in particular, by a crumbled up fat ball which I put on the feeder table
together with nuts and seed.  It was a sunny day so the light was quite good.  They were very mobile though and far more difficult to photograph than the Chaffinch which seemed totally unfazed by the shutter noise from the camera.
